The University of Madras has renamed the B.Sc Electronic and Communication Science degree programme to B.Sc Electronics with Artificial Intelligence with effect from the academic year 2024-25. According to a circular issued by the Registrar, the changes will be applicable to the candidates admitted to the course during the academic year 2023-24 as well.
The move was based on the recommendation of Chairperson, Board of Studies, Electronic and Communication Science (Common) and is pending approval of the Syndicate, the Academic Council and the Senate, the circular added.
