Kauvery Hospital, Vadapalani, has launched a specialised Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Clinic offering comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for the condition in a single, integrated facility. HCM is a genetic heart disorder marked by abnormal thickening of the heart muscle, potentially leading to breathlessness, chest pain, fainting, or sudden cardiac death. Early identification and structured management are essential.
The clinic provides full-spectrum services: genetic testing (including PGT-M), counselling, family screening, advanced imaging (MRI, echo), biomarker diagnostics, alcohol septal ablation (ASA), SESAME technology, electrophysiological studies, device implantation (pacemakers, ICDs), surgical options such as septal myectomy and mitral valve repair, and evaluation for heart transplantation in advanced cases.
