Missing boy drowns in the Kollidam in Srirangam

A 10-year-old boy, who went missing a few days ago in Srirangam, had drowned in the Kollidam, the police said on Friday. The police gave the name of the victim as M. Srinivas. Police sources said Srinivas left his house in Srirangam on June 23 evening and did not return. A boy missing case was registered in the Srirangam police station.

The sources said the boy’s body was found in the Kollidam on Thursday evening. It was retrieved and sent for autopsy to the Srirangam Government Hospital. Subsequently, the section was altered to 194 BNSS.  The sources said the autopsy was conducted on Friday and the cause of the death was due to drowning.
