The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notice to its affiliated schools requesting their cooperation in the conduct of the upcoming Public Examinations of the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), scheduled for October-November 2025.
NIOS is an autonomous body under the Department of School Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India. It conducts Public Examinations twice a year, in April-May and October-November, for Secondary and Senior Secondary, and Vocational Courses. NIOS is an open and distance education system catering to the needs of the disadvantaged sections of society.
Each year, NIOS uses the services and infrastructure of CBSE-affiliated schools to hold its examinations. In the notice, CBSE has requested school heads to extend their cooperation once again and convey their consent through the registration link: https://exams.nios.ac.in/ by navigating to >> Examination Centre >> Register Now.
