Various engineering colleges in the city conducted an orientation programme to guide KCET (UGCET) 2025 candidates about the seat distribution and allotment process, on Saturday.

It was part of a State-wide exercise conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) in association with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).

The programme was conducted at all government, government-aided, and VTU-constituent engineering colleges to provide guidance on the KCET counselling schedule, seat matrix and availability, online registration and option entry, seat allotment procedures, cutoffs, etc.

At Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), a constituent college under JSS Technological University, there was a veritable rush with over 1,000 students registering for the programme to get themselves apprised of the admission process.

There was a question and answer session with the resource persons who clarified the doubts of the student community. In addition, the SJCE authorities had organised a campus tour for the aspirants to familiarise them with the facilities, infrastructure, etc.
