Fabric from the sleeve of a kurta becomes a bottle holder

It all started with a pair of jeans. More than just a little frayed, and destined for the bin, Rukshana saw something more. She turned them into a bag. Not just any bag, but a smart, durable piece that made people look twice.
That small act of transformation became the seed for LIRU Creations, a sustainable brand built on upcycling. The business is the brain-child of Rukshana Lelinwalla and Lilam Reuben, and is a zero-waste initiative where not even the tiniest scrap of fabric goes unused. From full-length sarees to worn-out kurtas, everything is turned into bags, pouches, coasters, and jewellery.
