The Cockroach Janta Party on Saturday (October 10, 2026) said that despite a massive crackdown ahead of the planned demonstration at Jantar Mantar, it maintains a firm stand that the nationwide protest demanding the immediate resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar will go forward with or without its leadership.
In a video statement recorded directly inside the aircraft as police moved in, Abhijeet Dipke said, “This is not something even Indira Gandhi did during Emergency; this is a worse situation than that and we are all prepared for arrest.” Co-convenor Saurav Das added that authorities were attempting to stall a constitutional movement through brute force.
Police officers intercepted an Air India flight upon landing at Delhi’s IGI Airport to detain Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das, and Ashutosh Ranka directly on board.
The Cockroach Janta Party leadership urges the youth and every citizen of the country to step up and lead this movement on the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
”When the state uses mass detentions to silence democratic dissent, the public must take charge to save democracy. The core demand remains unchanged: Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar must tender his resignation immediately,” the CJP statement read.
