Mumbai: For some, faith means believing in God. For Radhika Apte, it is nature that holds the place of a higher power. The actress spoke about her personal beliefs during an interview while promoting her upcoming project AKKA.
When asked whether she believes in an energy or higher power that constantly guides her, Radhika gave a straightforward answer.
“Nature is the higher power for me”
The interviewer asked, “Do you believe in that energy, higher power which is constantly guiding you?”
Radhika replied, “I don’t believe in God, I believe in nature and nature is the higher power for me.”
Taking her answer further, the actress expressed her wish that people would worship nature rather than idols. Her response brought the conversation from the idea of a guiding energy to the importance she personally places on the natural world.
The remarks came as the discussion moved beyond AKKA and touched on her beliefs. Radhika made it clear that, for her, a belief in a higher power is connected to nature.
