Telangana’s Mulugu, Asifabad and Adilabad record highest rainfall on August 18

Mandals in three districts of Telangana recorded the highest rainfall on Monday (August 18, 2025)

Mulugu, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad and Adilabad recorded the highest amount of rainfall from Monday (August 18, 2025) morning to 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday. The highest of 189.4 mm was recorded in  Eturunagaram mandal, followed by 155.5 mm in Mangapet and 121.1 mm in Venkatapuram, all in Mulugu, according to data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS). Some among the 10 mandals with highest rainfall are in Adilabad and Asifabad.

While Mulugu was among the four districts under red alert on Monday, India Meteorological Department’s forecast showed Adilabad and Asifabad among the 19 districts under orange alert.

In case of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits, the highest of 43.5 MM was recorded in Serilingampally of Rangareddy. 

The department in its impact based heavy rainfall warning issued on Tuesday morning has forecast extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places in Asifabad.
