Refusing to throw in the towel despite a string of setbacks, captain Ajinkya Rahane struck a resolute note after Kolkata Knight Riders’ defeat to Gujarat Titans on Friday (April 17, 2026) night, insisting the side remains committed to “embracing the tough days” in a winless IPL 2026 campaign so far.
“It’s not like discussions happen only when we lose. Even when we win, we talk about getting better,” Rahane said. “For us, it’s about accepting that things are not going our way and embracing these tough days — as a team and as individuals. Every day is a new opportunity to improve, play with freedom, back each other and enjoy each other’s success.”
